THEMES COVERED IN THIS REPORT

This past year was again like no other. Challenged by continuing uncertainties of a raging pandemic, hybrid school and work, persistent structural racism, and the daily fears of finding the best resources to support our families, our UCB members persisted. UCB is no one thing: we are a social infrastructure—a community road map—to learn, to support, to grow, to build power, and to achieve.

In our 2021 Impact Report, we discuss our ongoing work to build more connected and resilient communities, we lift up our members and their achievements, and we introduce our new Leadership Pathways program.

“UCB is a family to me. Ever since I joined they have built my confidence in new visions of things that are out there for our community. Building bridges and a village for our families as one.”

“I joined so many workshops. I learned how to cook a healthy meal and how to look at nutrition facts. I learned how to identify mental illness. I had the facts about Covid, school budgets, how to manage my finances, and a lot more.”
